Job Description
The company are a Coatbridge retailer of timber, building materials and bikes. The Trainee will be positioned within the bike department of the company and will work alongside experienced Bike Mechanic colleagues, under the supervision of the Sales Manager. Normal retail hours working 35 hours between 8.00am-4.00pm and some weekend working. Pay rate will be Real Living Wage.
Duties
The successful candidate will be trained in the maintenance and repairing of bikes. They will learn and understand that bikes are not toys and that they can be used by persons of all ages and capabilities and must be maintained accordingly. They will be brought up to a level to do minor everyday bike maintenance and repairs, which can lead to be chosen for a National Bike Mechanic Course and then eventually put forward for Cycling Scotland certification.
