Tony had been unemployed for a few months when he registered with North Lanarkshire’s Working to help him find job.

He had previous work experience and was open minded about employment opportunities.

Tony was assigned an advisor who worked closely with him to improve his CV, work on interview skills and apply for jobs. Tony took the opportunity to up-skill and completed a Forklift driving training course, which was fully funded through Routes to Work, to help boost his chances of gaining employment. He then managed to secure a job with Walker Profiles as a Fabricator, which he is thoroughly enjoying.

Tony commented that since becoming employed his situation has greatly improved. Getting a job has meant that he and his family have been able to move home – something which he said would not have been possible previously.
