Job Description
This organisation provides an Information and Advice Service for carers and professionals, support short breaks (Carer Breather) through a Carer Support Network, and provide a Family Support Service for families where there is a child or young person in education who has an additional need for support.Key Responsibilities to include: 1. Carer Engagement and Awareness1. a) Develop and deliver Carer Aware sessions within statutory and 3rd Sectors, including Health & Social Care and community health settings based on carer rights as embedded within Carers (Scotland) Act 2016.b) Support the identification of carers and collection of their issues through mechanisms such as the Carer Forum, Parent Carer Forum, focus groups, consultations, and partnership work.c) Coordinate carer feedback to assess the effectiveness of services.d) Support the Engagement and Participation of carers, ensuring they have a voice in the development of local and national policy, through facilitation of a Carer Forum and Recognition to Rights training.4. Communication and Administrationa) Maintain accurate records of work activity and carer support using agreed organisational systems, including statistical reporting.b) Participate in meetings, supervision, and development sessions.c) Ensure consistent branding and quality in external communications, supporting the promotion of the organisation’s work at local and national levels.d) Manage event enquiries, coordinating responses and liaising with team members as required.5. Professional Development and Compliancea) Undertake training as identified by the Carer Information Lead to support role development.b) Plan, manage, and organise workload in line with agreed work tasks.c) Adhere to health and safety requirements, data protection, and confidentiality policies.d) Represent the organisation professionally and appropriately.e) Undertake occasional evening and weekend work as required.f) Carry out any other duties as required by the Carer Information Lead and/or Manager related to the role.

Duties
